Deputy Director & Head of Skin & Laser Aesthetics · Attending Physician, Licensed Aesthetic Attending · Lead Physician of This Site
Botulinum toxin safety · complication recognition · facial movement assessment
Dr. Ke He is Deputy Director of the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center at Chongqing West District Hospital and head of its skin and laser aesthetic service — and she is the lead physician of this site. A core specialist formerly at the Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Department of Xinqiao Hospital, affiliated with Army Medical University, she has worked on the clinical front line in skin laser and injectable aesthetics for more than 20 years, serving over ten thousand patients.
On this site her part is the examination that reads the movement pattern rather than the complaint. She looks at the face at rest and through a series of expressions, records where the two sides differ and in which direction, and works out from that whether what the patient is seeing is the treatment still arriving or a finding that needs a decision. She treats the first two weeks as a settling period rather than a treatment window, and where a patient asks for more toxin to even a difference out early she explains what that would do to the picture instead of agreeing to it. Where the honest answer is that time is the management, she says so, and she documents what was injected and when so that whoever sees the patient next starts from a record rather than a guess.

The first two weeks are not a treatment window
The effect is still arriving and both sides are still settling, so adding toxin early corrects a picture that is not finished and can deepen the imbalance it was meant to fix. Because there is no dissolving agent, a decision made in the first week cannot be taken back — which is why waiting is the safer correction, not the passive one.
